George started www.skroutz.gr as a hobby project, having worked for several years as a freelance professional. He always had a soft spot for hardware but became professionally involved with software. Together with Vasilis Dimos they founded and operated Forty-Two, a company which was the backbone for the technical/programming development of Skroutz.

A few years later, along with the co-founders they have managed to grow Skroutz S.A. to a 700+ employee strong company which offers innovative E-commerce solutions and is also renowned for its working environment. The company currently operates the leading e-commerce platform in Greece.

George holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technological University of Athens. He pilots small planes, likes to experiment with Arduino & 3D-printing and he is a proud dad of two, Apollon and Phoebus.
